Event: Nepali New Year's 2071 and Annual General Meeting
Dear Members, Families and Friends,
On behalf of the Nepali Cultural Society of Manitoba (NCSM) Board and my own behalf, I would like to wish you all Happy New Year 2071 BS, especially for those families who could not attend AGM and New Year celebration last night. For those who joined the program last night, I would like to thank you for making the time to attend the event and participate/volunteer in various capacities. Especial thank you goes to those friends and elders who provided constructive feedback and suggestions. That is in the spirit of making things better for the community and to move forward NCSM as an organization and we appreciate that very much.
As we came to the end of this year (2070 BS), I would like to thank all those families and friends who gave their time, efforts and helping hands in different program activities including transportation, potluck items (Canada Day & Teej) and being there as an audience or clapping hands to encouraging all the volunteers who participated in various programs.
Similarly, NCSM would like to thank Winnipeg Sport Team including managers, players and drivers who went all the way to Saskatoon representing our community and one of the team came with runner-ups trophy in soccer and another team reached semi-final. These are big achievements for the community and you made us all proud. Our local artists/performers, fund raising bingo volunteers, youth committee members, Bhajan Mandali as well as Cultural Night Team devoted lot of time and thank you all for your generous contributions in making this community vibrant.
Nepali class families and volunteers worked hard to keep the language classes going throughout the year. Those who contributed their valuable time in providing photos and videos and producing appreciative video show and others who contributed articles and spent time editing the manuscripts for the newsletter deserve equally good applause.
