A Taste of Nepali Culture: March 15, 2021
On behalf of the Nepali Cultural Society of Manitoba, I would like to reflect on our virtual celebration: A TASTE OF NEPALI CULTURE, which was presented in collaboration with the Ethnocultural Council of Manitoba as part of Safe at Home funding.
On Monday, March 15, 2021, NCSM community members came together virtually to celebrate our diverse culture and present it to the Manitoban community. On such short notice, community members came together to create a show that attempted to reflect the diversity of our rich heritage. We had friends and family join us from the city, province and out of province.

I want to thank the countless performers who presented their craft that reflected the diversity of Nepali culture. We had members present Nepali dancing, singing, poetry reciting, spiritual discourses, cooking, painting, costume designing, gazal reciting, reflecting upon Nepali language class and so much more which demonstrated our cultural heritage. I would like to thank Mr. Terry Duguid, Member of Parliament for Winnipeg South, for his remarks and appreciation of the Nepali culture. I want to thank the Ethnocultural Council of Manitoba for providing ethnocultural communities with opportunities to remain connected. Thank you to Mr. Chitra Pradhan for his support in bringing this program to its fruition. I want to thank the audience for their enthusiastic and active participation. Lastly, I would like to give countless thanks to my fellow Board Members who organized the event amazingly on short notice. Thank you everyone for the support and assistance needed to guarantee a successful event.
For those unable to join us that evening, we missed you.
